UPDATE - With our new 2.8mm lens you MUST remove the bottom black ring on it, and replace it with the original lens black bezel base ring so it threads in correctly & securely. This will allow you to close the protective cap cover completely sealing the camera. If you do not replace this ring you will not be able to get your camera in focus with the lens cover back on, but will still work with the lens cap off.

Your original lens will still work on many other cameras that utilizes a CS mount lens except the foscam 8905 now since that ring is needed for perfect fit. You can still sell your old lens for up to $25.00 cash also on select auction sites.
