To my surprise, this varifocal lens can be used as an extreme macro lens.

You'll want to hook up the GoPro to a decent HD monitor to calibrate your focus though - it can take some time to get used to it.

And I'm not sure if I installed it correctly, I can't focus at the 12mm range - not an issue for me as I prefer wider field of views.
