The Wireless Remote Control receiver for the GoPro HD Hero and GoPro HD Hero 2 Cameras fits inside the extended GoPro housings so it can be used anywhere the camera can be used.
No batteries are required for the camera controller and receiver. The receiver and controller are powered by the battery in the GoPro camera and make no significant difference to the battery life.
The wireless remote control fits easily in your hand and includes a tether point for a safety lanyard in case you are using it in flight or other places where dropping it might be a problem. Size 6cm x 2.5cm (2.5" x 1").
The wireless remote control will start and stop the GoPro cameras. To use the control, it is necessary to set the camera to operate in One Button Mode.
There are four buttons on the remote control which are used to start the camera for a predetermined length of time and stop the camera. The camera can take a series of still photographs or a video clip during the shooting period.
Note that the remote control does not operate the shutter button. It can only turn the camera on and off.
