SCRATCHED OR CRACKED YOUR GLASS LENS COVER?
VERY COMMON PROBLEM.
-SOLUTION-
Drift HD170 front glass replacement lens front bubble lens protector with included gum ring seal hand molded removable gum type seal solution for keeping the new bubble secure to your drift camera or you can adhere it using tiny dabs of gorilla glue around the edges of the camera front..
If you shattered your front lens glass, You need to take a small screwdriver head and hammer then carefully chisel around the edges to break out the rest of the front glass or take the camera apart and bust out the rest that way from the inside which is safer but takes appx 30-50 minutes.
The internal lens should still be fine unless your drift camera was shot by a speeding bullet, you can always check to see if its scratched by looking closely or filming a short video when you have busted out the rest of the front remaining glass particles.
Then you can use our special bubbles and lens covers after you have confirmed this.
Great solution for the drift orange 720x480 & standard stealth black/orange 1080p large version cameras.
Please note: that this will only secure to the outer edge of the drift externally. It wont fit back inside like the original one.
The internal glass bubble cannot be changed, it must be broke out totally giving the actual lens behind it a clear path to see though, you can use gorilla glue dabs or an epoxy mix/glue to secure the bubble to the front. This allows you to coat the front of the drift camera around the front edges so you can install the new bubble, this works very well, however the most work is done removing the original glass bubble.
To remove the new bubble if it gets damaged, you can simply use a small regular head screw driver and pry it off, then epoxy a new one on as needed.
this solution is the only one available for the drift models.
This lens bubble will not work on the new mini stealth version.
